Clear Sky
Healing the Israeli Mind Through Technology
ClearSky is a philanthropic organization dedicated to advancing mental health technology in Israel and fortifying national resilience. The organization identifies, examines, and assists in the implementation of progressive, evidence-based technologies within the healthcare system and among healthcare providers.
Our Vision
A high quality and accessible mental health system for all – with use of the integration of innovative technologies that advance the quality of care for the community.
Our Mission
To be the bridge between healthcare provers and technological companies. To identify, examine, and implement cutting-edge technologies for mental healthcare, which provide a real impact in filling the gaps in the mental healthcare system.
Partners
Our impact is made possible through collaborations with government ministries, the healthcare system, the IDF, civil society organizations, and leading experts in mental health.Below:
From a National Challenge to Innovation
Israel is facing one of the most significant mental health crises in its history. The demand for mental health support and treatment continues to grow, while the healthcare system struggles to keep pace. A shortage of mental health professionals, long waiting times, and increasing clinician burnout have created a significant gap between the need for care and the system's ability to provide it.
This is a challenge that cannot be solved by expanding the workforce alone. A national-scale crisis requires innovative solutions that can increase the capacity of mental health services, improve the quality of care, and make effective treatment accessible to more people.Throughout its history, Israel has transformed national challenges into engines of innovation. Fields such as Defense Tech, Water Tech, and Cybersecurity have positioned Israel as a global leader. Today, the country faces a new national challenge: mental health.
Clear Sky was founded with this vision in mind. We identify, evaluate, and implement evidence-based technologies that expand access to care, empower mental health professionals, and enable high-quality support to reach more people.
Technology is not here to replace clinicians—it is here to empower them, helping the entire mental health system deliver care that is more accessible, effective, and scalable.
The Mental Health Crisis in Israel
Israel is facing an unprecedented mental health crisis—one that has deepened following the October 7 attacks and the ongoing conflict.
Sharp Rise in Mental Health Needs
The percentage of Israelis reporting symptoms of psychological distress has risen from 16.2% to 29.8% of the population, compared to approximately 3.9% in other countries surveyed.
A Growing Strain on the Mental Health System
More than 2 million Israelis are experiencing the psychological consequences of the war, while the mental health system is struggling to meet the growing demand for care.
Gaps in Access to Care
Waiting times in the public mental health system can exceed 13 months, particularly in underserved and peripheral regions. At the same time, one in five Israelis does not seek mental health support due to the lack of available services.
What Does It Take to Scale Innovation in Mental Health?
To ensure that innovative technologies reach more people and create meaningful impact at scale, several key elements are essential:
Connecting Technology with Clinical Needs
Matching evidence-based solutions to the real-world needs of mental health providers and healthcare organizations.
Supporting Implementation in the Public Sector
Guiding organizations through procurement, regulatory, funding, and implementation processes to enable successful adoption.
Building Partnerships Across the Ecosystem
Bringing together technology companies, healthcare providers, government agencies, and funding partners to turn innovation into real-world impact.
Who we are
Our team is driven by a deep sense of mission to advance the Israeli mental health field.
The organization is led by a multidisciplinary team combining expertise in mental health, technology, community engagement, entrepreneurship, and business leadership. We believe that bringing these fields together is key to connecting Israeli innovation with urgent needs on the ground and enabling the implementation of solutions at scale.
